Ready to host an event?

FOR PSA:

After you have talked to your Regional Director or Assistant Director and decided upon an event type and date the next steps are easy.  We want to help your event be as successful as possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

For hosting trials you will need to sign up for the trial, fill out the awards and insurance paperwork, and download copies of all the paperwork you will need for your trial.

For other events you will need to sign up for the event and fill out the application for insurance paperwork.

FOR AMERICAN SCHUTZHUND:

After you have talked to the AS National Director and decided upon an event type and date, the next steps are easy. We want to help your event be as successful as possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the AS Member Liaison if you have questions.

CLUB MEMBERSHIPS, TRIAL SEASON, EVENT REGISTRATIONS

Clubs must be registered/renewed for the trial season in which the event is being registered.  The trial season ends after the Worlds (formerly Nationals) Trial takes place.  Any event scheduled after that is considered to be on the next season.  The renewal period for club memberships is between the end of September and 1st of November.  Events may not be officially registered with PSA and listed on the calendar of events until after club memberships are renewed.  If clubs submit events before their club membership is renewed, the event submission will not be processed. Please get in touch with a PSA secretary if you are unsure or have any questions.

In order for a trial to be added to the online listing of events you must include at minimum the Date(s), the scheduled Judge, Senior Decoy, 3 other decoys, and have prior approval from your regional director or assistant director to avoid possible conflicts in schedule.  If any of these are incomplete or not confirmed you will have to re-submit your form.

In order for a decoy certification camp to be added to the online listing of events you must include the Date(s), prior approval from your Regional Director or Assistant Director AND prior approval from the Director of Decoys. PSA handles registration for decoy certification camps.  All dogs will have to be pre-approved in order for someone to participate they must have a pre-approved dog in attendance.  Once dogs are approved they will be given a password to access the provided link to sign up and pay for the camp. A link to the password-protected sign-up form will be included on the PSA calendar event listing.

In order for events to be added to the calendar the minimum information must be included.  The more information you include the better, consider adding links to your registration forms, or attach forms you would like us to link, hotel accommodations, etc.  The only reason we will edit a listed event is for a date or venue change.  Any other changes or information for your event should be handled via your club page or Facebook Event Listing.

PSA Nationals are held in November and are considered the conclusion of the current trial season.  Do not submit events for the following season until after Nationals are completed AND your club has renewed for the upcoming season.  Any events submitted too early or from a club that is not current in membership will have to be resubmitted.
